John Snow College Boat Club, sometimes known as John Snow Boat Club or JSBC, is the boat club of John Snow College, Durham University.
The Club was originally founded as University College Stockton Boat Club in 1994, before becoming a part of John Snow College in 2001. After renting racking space at the River Tees Watersports Centre since the Club's foundation, John Snow College officially opened its own Boat House in 2010 which the Club currently shares with Stephenson College Boat Club.
Since 2001, the Club has seen significant progression in its rowing and is quickly establishing itself as one of Durham University's most successful boat clubs. The Club also has one of the best novice development programmes out of all the College Rowing Clubs, having won the Novice Cup in Durham two years running in 2011 and 2012.
The Club trains on a magnificent stretch of the River Tees which is perfect for long recreational rows to short piece regatta training during all seasons. Members currently row in head races and regattas both locally and across the UK including large events such as the Head of the River Race.
